The view was beautiful, the food was excellent, and the service was very good.

Nice place to eat. Friendly staff. The salad was very good, but a bit pricey for our taste (we're used to salads elsewhere, and they're sometimes more generous with ingredients, not just green salad). It was between €14 and €17 approximately. But it was good, thankfully. €22! 😬 The dessert was also relatively good. But €9 is still steep. €7 would be a fair price considering its size. It's just speculoos, mascarpone...and a cookie cutter ;) Nice presentation, though, and tasty. The Lillet Blanc was a very good wine. These are just observations shared with our friends, but it's not a criticism at all. No regrets about coming. Best of luck! 🌷🍀☀️🤞

Very pleasant, cool service, and very good

A lovely restaurant with a large, quiet terrace on the banks of the Clain river, which doesn't give the impression of being in Poitiers at all!

I'm not usually one to leave reviews, but I have to say this establishment truly deserves it. Top-notch service! The waitresses and waiters were incredibly kind and had a great sense of humor! It was hot on Saturday, June 20, 2026. That didn't stop them from serving us with a smile and remaining professional throughout, despite the heat. As for the food, the tartares are excellent! The cocktails are reasonably priced and just as good! It's easy to say when something isn't to your liking... but it's also good to say when it's great! Thanks again! (The table for 5 people with a stroller was a bonus!)

This is THE restaurant to go to in Poitiers. On the banks of the Clain, sheltered from the sun, it's amazing!! The staff is very friendly and the portions are generous.

The place is nice, not idyllic, but not bad for Poitiers. The two waiters are quite friendly. However, the menu is really limited. If you eat fish, you should go elsewhere; there's only one fish dish, but it comes with chorizo. I've never seen that, not even in a bistro. Also, I wanted to order a starter at 6:45 pm, but service starts at 7:00 pm, since there was no one there (of course, so it would be served right at the start of service, at 7:00 pm). The manager said no, we're full! For just one steak tartare. Anyway, at 7:40 pm we finished our drinks, the restaurant was half full, so they could have served us a starter since we weren't taking someone else's place (of course, at the kitchen opening at 7:00 pm). We won't be back. You're better off going to Vingelique; it's much nicer.

This place is great, the service is good and the waiters are excellent. There's a fresh atmosphere at Bor du Clain, however, you need to book in advance.

An excellent restaurant, the setting is very pretty, the servers are kind and smiling, and the food is just as good – I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The cocktails and burgers are really great!
