Truck driver... not good quality... We're practically at the school cafeteria...!!!

A very pleasant surprise! The food was more than excellent, and the service was quick. We'll be back!

We had a fantastic meal, the beef skewers with pepper sauce were excellent for €14 – incredible!

We ate very well, the meat was tender and there was a lovely buffet.

Well, what a pleasant surprise! We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance. I didn't think the price was right. Is France plagued by inflation and declining purchasing power? Not quite! One place is bucking the trend: "Au Top du Roulier." €14.50 per person for an all-you-can-eat appetizer buffet, an all-you-can-eat dessert buffet, plus one main course of your choice from a selection of six. Don't think for a moment that quality suffers: melon, watermelon, radishes, cold cuts, rice salads, etc., for the appetizers. Six main courses to choose from and a variety of desserts. We're so glad we stopped here.

Perfect and nice for a break on the road

Absolutely fantastic! And not just for truckers: - It's wonderful to find this truck stop restaurant, still operating in the traditional style, in this large truck stop area, a welcome haven for a meal and perhaps an overnight stay. - The welcome? Top-notch! Absolutely nothing to complain about. - The price? Excellent: €14.50 for a complete meal with an all-you-can-eat appetizer buffet, a main course, cheese, and dessert. - The food is superb: beautiful and varied appetizers, simple dishes cooked with care. Several different dishes are offered daily. Fresh ingredients. - The service? Truly top-notch: Ladies in white (and one gentleman), attentive and caring, oversee the entire dining room with skill, kindness, and impeccable efficiency. :-) The manager, Madame Françoise, brilliantly steers the ship. Sometimes, a tour bus arrives en masse alongside the regular clientele, and then... amazing! No waiting for the food and service remains impeccable. The atmosphere is fantastic too: it's very friendly and welcoming, with lots of people—the restaurant is packed every day—but there's never any noise (or anything else) or the slightest rudeness; everyone is very polite and respectful of each other. Rare indeed! When I come alone, I happily sit with other customers, at the same table as truckers are used to, and it's sometimes an opportunity for pleasant conversations, sometimes just a moment of soothing silence while eating together. The magic of travel and a stopover... The restaurant offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day of the week. A place that's always open, a reliable place to go. It's a genuine joy to see the whole team again each time we visit. Honestly, for all these reasons, Top du Roulier is probably the restaurant with the best value for money in Poitiers and the surrounding area. And when I say "approximately," believe me, it can extend to a circumference of many kilometers. My wife and I highly recommend it! François and Odile Rivas
